Dr. Hadland (she/her/hers) is a clinical psychologist licensed in California. She completed her bachelors at UC Davis then went on to complete her Masters and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego. Prior to joining Practical Recovery, she worked for Sharp Healthcare where she developed an intensive outpatient program for Substance Use Disorders. As a member of the psychology faculty at Sharp, she also supervised psychology trainees, APA interns, and post-doctoral fellows.
Dr. Hadland works primarily from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy framework, which emphasizes mindfulness, getting unstuck from painful cycles, and building a rich and meaningful life. She has strong clinical training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy for emotion dysregulation, eating disorders, and problematic substance use. Dr. Hadland also uses Exposure Therapy, an extremely effective treatment for anxiety disorders.
